Ever since the announcement of the government’s plans to impose a period of quarantine on all overseas visitors, the topic has featured heavily in conversations between schools and Guardianship Organisations. But how will the new restrictions affect overseas students at boarding schools?
Since 8th June, all overseas visitors a who arrive into the UK have been subject to the quarantine restrictions which ask them to enter a period of two-week self-isolation at a named address and location. On 3rd July a list of 59 countries were provided exemption from quarantine, with those unlisted locations described by The Department for Transport as posing "a reduced risk to the public health of UK citizens". The government also however promised to keep the list under constant review.
