King’s College is a world-famous prestigious university in the heart of London. It is consistently ranked among the top Universities in both the UK and the world. Classrooms take place in the Virginia Woolf building, whilst meals and activities take place in the main building on the Strand, next to Somerset House.
Both Bucksmore London and the London Advanced Studies Program’s accommodation is based at the University of Notre Dame’s Conway Hall, located across Waterloo Bridge, less than a mile away from campus. Conway Hall consists of student apartments made up of twin and triple bedrooms, with shared kitchen, bathrooms and living areas.
All students are given a free travel-card for each week of their stay, and students will never travel between the accommodation and campus without supervision from a Bucksmore member of staff.
Bucksmore’s most intensive English language programme, taught through a combination of general English, academic English, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), and group project sessions, culminating with the Bucksmore Assessment at the end of the course. With 25 hours of tuition each week and a maximum class size of 11 students, Bucksmore London is an intensive English language course that immerses students aged 13-16 in the English language.
Combined with a fun-filled activity programme, the course is perfect for students who want to maximise their language knowledge away from a traditional summer boarding school environment.
