Mary Doody

Mary Doody, Director Young Learners, Kings Education

  • Mary trained as a teacher and taught for a short period in a large comprehensive school. She quickly decided the world of international education was more suited to her. She has worked in many  different roles in young learner operations;  from Activity Leader to teacher, Centre Manager to Operations Manager of one of the largest junior school providers in the Industry and moved into the role  of Director at Kings Young Learners in 2014.

  • " I love it here – working alongside like minded industry experts with students needs at the centre of all we do. "

  • With so many summers under her belt there is little Mary hasn't seen. There have been mostly good but also some challenging times to deal with:  stringent budgets, demanding clients, staff shortages, quirky employees, terrorist attacks, foot and mouth, swine flu, but to name a few!   Mary has also been lucky enough to be a part of further professionalising the delivery of young learner courses and is excited by the growth that continues this sector

  • For the last 3 years Mary has taken on the role of Joint Chair at YLEUK and continues to work alongside a great team of friendly competitors to help continuously improve the offering to young international students.
