Short Stay programmes at UK boarding schools are becoming more and more popular. Sometimes known as Immersion Programmes, they are short term courses designed specifically for international students to experience daily life and academic study alongside British students.
Students on the Immersion Programmes join the regular school timetable, living in boarding houses with long term students, participating in classes, extracurricular activities, and weekend excursions to improve their English and cultural understanding.
Your students will live in the same boarding houses as British students and attend lessons with them, participating in the school's full timetable, including activities and social events.
Students follow the standard UK curriculum, gaining an insight into different teaching styles. Some programmes may offer extra English language support.
Students will have access to a wide range of co-curricular activities, sports, and social events to help you make friends and improve your English outside the classroom.
Weekend trips to local cities and attractions are often included to provide a deeper understanding of British culture and history.

Immersion Courses are designed as short experiences, typically lasting from a few weeks to a full term. They can provide an ideal taster of what school life is like and are ideal for students who want to try out boarding school life before committing to a longer programme in the future.

Bright World's school placement service is free of charge. We receive a referral fee from schools and therefore request that our parents allow us to make the initial contact with the school on your behalf. We can then guide you throughout the enrolment process, or you can handle that yourself, depending on your preference.
The cost of Short Stay Courses varies. We can guide you through the different programme options and courses.

We work with many schools who offer short term courses. We can guide you through the enrolment process and help you to select your school in the right location and for the duration you require.

Send us the student’s name, date of birth and latest school reports with any further requirements. Use the enquiry form at the bottom of this page for your convenience. Once we have this information, we will suggest schools that still have places in the correct Short Stay Programme for you. We will then guide you throughout the admissions process until your place is confirmed.

Students coming to the UK for short term courses still require a UK based guardian to act in an emergency while they are here.
In response to the surge in popularity of the Immersion Programme, Bright World has designed a specific package to accommodate a shorter period of guardianship, whilst also allowing for emergency and exeat host family accommodation in host families to be provided if necessary.

Bright World Education is delighted to be approved by the prestigious British Boarding Schools Network. Membership Requirements include having high standards of professional and ethical behaviour, having properly trained staff and to abide by the BBSN Code of Conduct and Terms and Conditions. Three references were obtained from UK boarding schools in order to obtain this level of recognition. Membership is reviewed annually.
