MPW Cambridge was founded in 1987 and is part of the MPW group of independent fifth and sixth form colleges. They offer a broad range of subjects and have a tradition of expertise in intensive, exam-oriented courses. It is this expertise which forms the basis of their Easter Revision programme.
All lessons will take place at MPW sites and a weekday shuttle bus will transport residential students between Cambridge University's Churchill College and MPW.
MPW has been running successful Easter Revision courses for more than 30 years. Tutors are highly qualified graduates - many are GCSE or A level examiners and are therefore attuned to the requirements and approaches of the various examination boards.
Every year MPW has helped students realise their true potential by offering small group and individual tuition in over 30 different subjects for A-Level and (I)GCSE, and a range of other examinations.
An extremely good revision week that taught me how to write essays effectively and also went into in depth knowledge of the subject. I feel a lot more confident and I now know what I need to do in the run up to my exam.
Churchill College has modern, single bedrooms, each with a sink and a study area. All rooms have free Broadband internet access. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Breakfast (including hot choices) and a two course buffet evening meal will be served at Churchill College (weekdays and weekend). Lunch, mid-morning and mid-afternoon refreshments will be provided at MPW on weekdays.
Churchill College occupies a 40-acre site with spacious lawns and playing fields. Tennis, football and squash courts are available. MPW will have sole use of a large Common Room (with leisure facilities) in the evenings, and social activities will be organised on one or two evenings each week, subject to interest.
