When boarding schools close

UK boarding schools close for between 9 and 16 nights each term; in October, February and May. While British students go home to their parents, it is not always possible for international students to make the long journey back home.

More independence and flexibility

Traditionally, the main option available to students, who are staying in the UK for half term, is to stay with a host family. Some would rather not be bound by the restrictions that can come with host family stay. Some students wish to spend their holidays with school friends, however host families cannot always accommodate large numbers.

Some students prefer to see the sights, and have a more cultural experience during their half term which is not always possible at a host family. By choosing the Relax and Explore Programme, students have a full schedule of activities and excursions built into each week.
