Westonbirt Summer School 10-16 years

A historic Victorian mansion house surrounded by acres of parkland in the heart of The Cotswold countryside, Westonbirt School has a longstanding reputation of welcoming international students who come to immerse themselves in language, culture and a unique English boarding school experience. This core programme helps students develop their English language proficiency. Westonbirt offer tuition to all students; from beginners who are just starting their language journey, to fluent speakers looking to enhance their skills, further expanding their vocabulary and refining their communication style.

This programme develops practical language skills through topic-based learning, focussing on students' experiences through writing and communication, critical thinking, and intercultural awareness.

Westonbirt's Artificial Intelligence programmes are designed to improve students’ technical knowledge as well as critical thinking skills, while focussing on hands-on learning. Through block coding or Python programming, students will develop essential skills while exploring the fascinating concepts of AI in a supportive environment.

Westonbirt's Leadership programmes offer students the opportunity to develop essential leadership skills through interactive sessions and practical experiences. Focussing on adventure-based learning for younger learners (Leadership Through Adventure), and strategic leadership development for older students (Leadership In Action), these programmes equip participants with the tools needed to excel in both personal and academic pursuits.

Integration Projects

On three afternoons each week, students take part in Integration Projects:

• Career Skills (14-16)

Academies and Activities

Students can opt to receive up to eight hours of coaching per week in their chosen academy, or they can decide to join the Multi-Activity Programme

With Westonbirt as a base, students are able to access many of England’s most popular sights. Within easy distance of the world-famous cities of Bath and Oxford, and just 90 minutes from London, we can offer our students experiences that they will remember all their lives.
