Northeastern University London and Bright World Guardianships

Northeastern University London and Bright World Guardianships

Northeastern University London N

UK universities require all overseas pupils who are under 18 years of age to have a UK guardian. A guardian should be a responsible adult or a guardianship organisation such as Bright World Guardianships, who can be there to offer independent support for students and offer assistance in an emergency situation on behalf of parents.

Northeastern University London is committed to ensuring the safety of all their students. To assist parents with choosing an appropriate guardian, Northeastern University London has elected Bright World Guardianships as its provider of guardianship services.

Bright World is fully Accredited by AEGIS (Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students) to Gold standard.

Your Guardianship Care Manager

Casper Jones

Each Bright World student has a designated Guardianship Care Manager, who will be their main contact throughout the programme. As soon as you are enrolled our work begins. Casper Jones is the Bright World Guardianship Care Manager who looks after the students at Northeastern University London. He is the main liaison point for parents and the university team. Casper will ensure that each student's registration form is scrutinised and stored securely on our operating system. He is then here to assist with any questions throughout the guardianship period.

At Bright World we understand the importance of good communication and a fast response. Casper is available on email casper@brightworld.co.uk or if you want to call him you will have access to his direct line at our office. Alternatively, if you prefer face to face, he can set up online video calls with you. We are confident that you will find communicating with Casper efficient and his response to be speedy.

Your Bright World Buddy (our Local Coordinator)

Jalpa Lai

All Northeastern University London students will be introduced to our Local Coordinator, Jalpa Lai when they arrive during their induction week. Jalpa will come along to introduce herself to each student and will be very happy also to meet with parents at this time too. Students and parents will be able to meet and ask questions. Jalpa will then be available throughout the year to contact on any matter. As Buddy or Mentor, Jalpa is fully trained in safeguarding and is qualified to talk to students about any worries or concerns they may have, or to share good news and progress with them. Jalpa lives within an easy commute of Northeastern University London so can get there quickly should she be needed.

Throughout the year, Jalpa will stay in touch by email jalpa@brightworld.co.uk and will also give students her mobile phone number so they can use Whatsapp messaging and video calls.
