guardianship for students on the Pangbourne Immersion Programme

Pangbourne Immersion Programme and Bright World Guardianships

Parents who are sending their child to UK boarding schools need to nominate an educational guardian, based in the UK, to act on their behalf and offer an extra layer of safeguarding care. This applies to all students on the Pangbourne Immersion Programme.

Pangbourne College is committed to ensuring the safety of all their students and Bright World Guardianships has been selected by them to provide this service to the students on this programme.

Bright World will provide Pangbourne Immersion Programme students with welfare support from our Local Coordinator, Head Office assistance from a dedicated Guardianship Care Manager, Chinese speaking support, 24/7 emergency assistance, and host family accommodation in emergency situations.

what we do for you

Welfare Visits

Our Local Coordinator, Cheerful, will visit all the students during the first few days of term and can help liaise with the school and parents for any small issues that may arise. She will talk to all the students and explain our role at Bright World. She will also introduce the students to the Bright World App and ask them to download it so they have easy access to information and important contact details.

Emergency host family stays

In the unlikely event that the school closes during the programme or students need to leave in an emergency, Bright World will arrange for them to stay with one of our local and fully screened host families until they are able to return home.

Emergency assistance 24/7

All students and their parents will have access to our Emergency telephone number and our out of hours email support service for the duration of the programme. This is managed by a Duty Manager who is a member of our Head Office Team and parents can be assured of a prompt and reliable service in times of need.

Transport services

Although the Pangbourne Immersion students arrive together and transport is not usually required, Bright World Guardianships can arrange ad hoc airport transfers should they be needed using one of our accredited drivers.

All parents joining our programme will automatically receive login details to Blink. This is a our cloud-based parent portal where they can see a live timeline of our reports, and visits.
