Bright World achieves National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society membership

Bright World is now an organisational member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

NCS Bright World Certificate

We are proud to announce that Bright World has achieved Organisational membership with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). Our Mental Health Champion Initiative was instrumental in gaining this new recognition.

Founded in 1999, The NCPS plays an important role in campaigning for better mental health provision in the UK. The Society's 'Access to Counselling for Every Child' campaign, seeks to make counselling and support more accessible to children and young people. In addition, NCS promotes accredited counselling services via their Counselling Directory.

Joining the NCPS as an Organisational member means that Bright World will benefit from advice and support from trained Mental Health professionals.

As we continue to develop our understanding and knowledge around Mental Health, we are looking forward to benefiting from this new partnership.

access to counselling for every child

We're asking for Access to Counselling for Every Child, with a counsellor available not just in schools, but in primary care settings and mental health hubs, as well as provision of technology such as tablets or similar to allow children and young people who need more flexibility around accessing therapy face-to-face to work with their therapist no matter where they are.

mental health support for our students

We are seeing an increase in the number of students who need mental health support. In coordination with adolescent mental health expert Kate Day at KRD Training, we have developed a training programme for our host families, local and head office staff designed with international students at UK boarding schools at it's heart.

Our Mental Health Champion Initiative continues to grow, with training and ongoing Supervision from Kate helping us to improve the support we now offer our students.
